Converting SB200 v5 stackups to v6

Note: Users are strongly advised to make backup copies of files to be converted in a safe location prior to conversion.
Installing the File Converter
Ensure the SB200 is fully installed.
Insert the SB200 installation disk.
Follow the instructions to install the SB200 file converter.
Converting version 5.x stackups
Note: the SB200 file converter is for use on library, stackup and project files version 5.x only. It will not convert files from earlier versions of the Stackup Builder software.
To convert stackups produced by version 5.x of the SB200 use the following procedure.
From the SB200 File menu, choose Convert Existing Files.
The Convert File Formats dialog is displayed. To convert all files in a folder click the Select Folder button to navigate to the folder containing the files. Select library, stackup and/or project files as appropriate.
The SB200 File Converter will display a list of all files for which conversion was attempted and a list of all files for which conversion was successful. For each file successfully converted a copy is made and saved with the .5v1 file extension appended to the file name. Click Finished to close the dialog.
Choosing a single file
To convert just a single file click the Select File button, navigate to the folder containing the file, highlight the file from the list and click Open.
A copy of the converted file is made and saved with the .5v1 file extension appended to the file name. Click Finished to close the dialog.
