ITEQ IT-180 Core thickness show incorrectly in mils

This is being rechecked as the error was reported and fixed in August. Looking at root cause of reappearance.
Data was correct - but to make correction clearer - rather than just correcting the existing file - we are reissuing a new library file on the date of the correction. Details in ticket 438-04-000446

Si8000m / Si9000e font scaling causes text to overflow controls

Some Si8000m and Si9000e customers have reported that, on some laptops, the button fonts overflow the Si8000m / Si9000e controls. The issue relates to Windows installed font sets and its resolution is discussed in AP636

Atlas for VNA / Atlas for TDR / Atlas Si (file import) - under Windows 11

Windows 11 Version: 22H2 OS build: 22621.1555 appears to prevent the Matlab Delta-L 3 and 4 scripts running causing a report of -400dB in Delta L 3 and a script error in Delta-L 4.0 Information is still being gathered and is subject to change - this status will update as the situation clarifies.
Resolve: Reinstall the matlab runtime mcr version 9.0 installer (found in the Atlas install folder)

Si Excel x64 for Si8000m / Si9000e – Disable multi-threaded calculations

To prevent miscalculation when using SIExcelExpertx64 and SiExcelx64, Polar recommend to disable multi-threaded calculations. (Excel | Excel Options | Advanced | Formulas - <Uncheck> Enable multi-threaded calculations.) This also applies to any workbook with links to SiExcelExpertx64. Save the workbooks after disabling multi-threaded calculations. Resolved in Si Excel x64 V23.02.

Atlas File Input mode
(Including Touchstone^® for VNA Delta-L 4)

Following Atlas/licence installation you may see the following message at Atlas startup. "Your licence does not allow use of this software. Possible reason: No FlexLM licence available"  If so, edit the registry value below:

Registry value "Computer\HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Polar\Atlas\Settings\ FileInputMode" needs to be set to 1 to enable the ATLAS_FILE_IMPORT feature.

23 May 2022 – CITS880s calibration / relay reminders not suppressable

2021 versions of CITS880s displayed "relay close to end of life" / "calibration due soon" advance warning messages which could not be suppressed or delayed. Customers on CITS880s on any version shipped in 2021 should contact Polarcare for a no charge update.

Only impacts CITS880s running 21_0X versions of software. Prior versions and 22_05 and above fixes.

21 December 2021 – CITS880s not correctly displayed on 4k

Version 22_05 and upwards of the CITS880s now display correctly on 4k and other high DPI monitors such as used on laptops. This is resolved from 22_05_xx and up.

21 December 2021 – Log4j vulnerability

All Polar software tools are developed with Microsoft Visual studio and have no exposure to the Log4j vulnerability. The polarinstruments.com webserver is automatically patched with the latest available security updates. Java is not used in any of our product line.

04 October 2021 – Portable (dongle) key not found when upgrading to V21.xx

Customers with portable dongle licenses are reporting invalid hostid when upgrading to version 21 Polar software. The incompatibility appears to be with the included version of FLEXlm. Under investigation. If you experience this please contact Polarcare who will arrange a replacement key supporting the security in V21_xx. Installation support will also be offered if required.

07 April 2021 – CITS880 install problem – Windows 10

Recent Windows 10 updates may make CITS880 (and pre 2020 CITS880s) more difficult to install on Windows 10. In house IT rules may prevent installation in some cases. CITS880 V21_04 resolves. (CITS880s version 20 and above resolves).

18 March 2021 – CITS logo and bitmap missing on printout – Windows 10

Microsoft acknowledge widespread printing problems with this windows 10 March 09 2021 update KB5000802. 21 March 2021 – Microsoft have issued a workaround patch which needs to be manually applied. Instructions and download here.

10 March 2021 – CITS880s Version 21.03 System error – Windows 7

CITS880s displays: "The program can't start because api-ms-win-crt-runtime-l1-0.dll is missing". This occurs on a small percentage of Windows 7 installs. Windows 7 is not officially supported on the CITS and is out of Microsoft support however Microsoft do point to a fix for this problem here.

11 February 2021 – Version 21.01 fails to find HASP key on install

Dongle key shows up correctly in LMTOOLs, but Version 21.01 reports a -9,57
error in some cases. ACTION: Updated AP620 and simplified to clarify procedure. Added AP620_T to assist in troubleshooting in the unlikely event of seeing this
error code.

HASP portable key licensed product only impacts a small percentage of portable licenses.

10 February 2021 – Speedstack 21.02 On-Premise error message

When in on premise mode – Speedstack reports "failed to find remote server" or "unable to locate polarinstruments.com" This despite being in On-Premise mode - with some windows versions may also cause an exception error.
Update 10 March 2021 – An interim patch is released then resolved in Speedstack 21_03. This is available for Polarcare customers on request from polarcare@polarinstruments.com
