FlexLM and Firewall settings Polar supports limited Linux installations of FlexLM and there is a reliance on making sure that the Linux platform is capable of talking to the FlexLM clients over the network, communication between the two is via TCP Ports. It is common for TCP Ports to be blocked by default in a production environment so this requires that the Ports used by FlexLM are "opened" so that communication between the Linux FlexLM Polar daemon and the FlexLM clients can talk to each other. |
